Job Overview

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the organization's manufacturing and export businesses, covering metals, minerals, and agro-commodities. The role ensures financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across domestic production and international trade activities. This position supports the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in driving profitability, cost control, export liquidity, and stakeholder confidence through strong financial governance and reporting discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

• Lead preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS
• Consolidate reports across multiple plants and export subsidiaries for management and audit review
• Manage the general ledger, journal entries, and ensure accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations
• Coordinate annual external audits and implement recommendations from auditors

Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning

• Lead the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with production, logistics, and export sales targets
• Develop quarterly forecasts and variance analysis for performance tracking
• Advise management on investment priorities and cost optimization strategies

Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

• Implement and maintain standard costing systems for raw materials, production, and conversion costs
• Analyze yield, scrap rates, energy consumption, and process efficiency metrics
• Provide detailed cost variance analysis and margin reports to management
