A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent. Role Summary
  • The Financial Controller will oversee financial reporting, controls, and regulatory compliance, with strong ownership of SEC Returns preparation and submission. This role requires deep regulatory knowledge and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead preparation and submission of SEC Returns and regulatory filings
  • Oversee monthly management accounts and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with SEC, FIRS, and other regulatory bodies
  • Supervise accounting team and review regulatory schedules
  • Liaise directly with SEC, auditors, and external consultants
  • Strengthen internal controls and compliance frameworks
  • Track regulatory changes and advise management accordingly
Requirements:
  • BSc in Accounting or Finance (MBA is a plus)
  • 5 years minimum experience in regulated financial institutions
  • Direct, hands-on SEC Returns preparation experience (mandatory)
  • Strong understanding of capital market regulations
  • ICAN/ACCA (fully qualified)
  • High attention to detail and strong deadline discipline
