Financial Analyst at Design Union

Job Summary

A real estate company on Victoria Island is seeking a Financial Analyst who is a Chartered Accountant. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager, Finance & Administration and will be responsible for delivering comprehensive financial analysis and strategic insights to support the company's growth and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate financial analysis of the company's financial statements, budgets, and management reports for monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reviews
• Explain and demonstrate the company's financial transactions and financial positions to stakeholders
• Provide management with forecasts and projections on company performance to support long-term financial growth strategies and business objectives
• Generate insights and recommendations on improving business operations, including cost reduction proposals and opportunities to increase operational efficiencies
• Develop financial models, including product profitability models by product line, to predict and assess financial performance
• Prepare and present periodic updates on project responsibilities as requested

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. (1st or 2nd Class Upper) in Accounting or Finance
• M.Sc. in Social Sciences or Management
• ACA (Association of Chartered Accountants) qualification
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in Financial Management
• Proficiency in enterprise-wide accounting applications such as SAGE or SAP
• Proficiency in MS Office packages and PowerPoint presentations
