Role Overview
- The Finance Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial planning, analysis, reporting, and controls within a fast-paced cross-border payments environment. The role involves analyzing transaction flows, FX exposure, revenue performance, and costs across multiple corridors, ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and data-driven decision-making to support business growth.
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports covering transaction volumes, revenues, costs, margins, and profitability across corridors.
- Monitor cross-border transaction flows, settlement balances, and liquidity positions.
- Analyze FX exposure, pricing spreads, and currency fluctuations, and provide insights to mitigate financial risk.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, highlighting key business drivers and trends.
- Partner with operations, treasury, and product teams to provide financial insights that support growth, pricing decisions, and market expansion.
- Track KPIs such as transaction success rates, cost per transaction, corridor performance, and revenue yield.
- Evaluate new products, partnerships, and corridors through financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Support daily and monthly reconciliations of settlement accounts, partner balances, and suspense accounts.
- Ensure accuracy of financial data in line with internal controls, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with audit processes, internal reviews, and regulatory reporting where applicable.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen financial controls and efficiency.
- Work closely with data and engineering teams to ensure financial data integrity across payment platforms and reporting tools.
- Support automation and optimization of financial reporting processes.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for cross-border transactions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a reputable tertiary institution.
- 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within fintech, payments, banking, or a cross-border environment.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and transaction-based reporting.
- Experience working with FX, multi-currency transactions, and settlement processes is an advantage.
