Finance/Account Manager at Goodnews Consulting

About the Role

An information technology company is seeking an experienced accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial operations, analyzing financial data, and providing key stakeholders with accurate quantitative and qualitative information on the company's financial position, liquidity, and cash flows. You will ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and bodies.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Assist in analyzing financial data and preparing variance analysis reports
• Prepare budget forecasts and develop, monitor, and manage project budgets
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closing financial reports
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank and payable payments
• Process invoices, matching them with purchase orders and receiving documents
• Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on overdue payments
• Compute taxes, remit payments, and document tax filings and corporate income tax returns
• Analyze and report on the company's financial health and liquidity
• Audit, report, and document all financial transactions and documents
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information
• Ensure budgets align with corporate financial goals and provide accurate forecasting of costs and revenues
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive company financial information with discretion
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills

• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in finance and accounting, including project accounting and financial principles
• Strong ability to identify numerical errors and analyze financial records
• Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work
• Professional discretion and confidentiality
