We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Position Overview:
  • An experienced and detail-oriented Finance & Internal Control Manager to oversee the company’s finance, accounting, tax, treasury, and internal control functions.
  • The ideal candidate will combine strong technical accounting skills with sound financial management and control discipline to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and effective financial stewardship of the business.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Reporting:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, variances, and key cost drivers.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Budgeting, Planning & Treasury Management:
  • Lead the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage company cash flow, liquidity, and treasury activities to support operations and growth.
  • Oversee bank relationships and ensure efficient use of financial resources.
Tax & Statutory Compliance:
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all statutory obligations (taxes, pensions, etc.).
  • Liaise with tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and accounting regulations affecting the business.
Internal Control & Risk Management;
  • Design, implement, and monitor effective internal control systems across the business.
  • Identify financial and operational risks and recommend corrective measures.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and proper documentation of financial processes.
  • Support audit activities and ensure compliance with audit recommendations.
Leadership & Team Management:
  • Supervise and develop the finance and accounting team.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial integrity across all operations.
Required Qualifications: & Requirements
  • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
  • Professional qualification: ICAN or equivalent (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience, with at least 6 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Proven experience in accounting, internal control, and financial management within an SME or corporate environment.
