## Title: Finance Lead

Position Overview

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Finance Lead.

Reporting Structure

Reports To: Finance Manager
Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Salary: N300,000 – N400,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, interpret, and review company financial information
  • Predict future financial trends and generate financial reports including P&L, equity, and cash flow statements
  • Produce financial reports related to budgets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expenses
  • Develop long-term business plans based on financial analysis and reporting
  • Develop strategies to minimise financial risk and manage tax obligations while liaising with authorities to meet statutory requirements
  • Analyse market trends and monitor competitor activity
  • Examine bank statements and reconcile them with general ledger entries
  • Review and validate employee expense submissions
  • Assess the proficiency and effectiveness of software programs used for data organisation
  • Create detailed business analyses outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions
  • Build financial models to support business planning and decision-making
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with forecasts and identify key deviations
  • Advise on pricing mechanisms for company products

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting, preferably within the real estate industry or related field
  • Proven knowledge of financial and management accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and tax compliance
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Advanced Excel functions skills
  • Strong knowledge of local and international tax laws, including VAT and travel-related taxes
  • Experience working in high-transaction environments, particularly those involving bookings, commissions, and vendor payments
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and reporting standards
