About the Role
Ujax Engineering is seeking a Finance & Accounts Officer to manage the day-to-day financial and accounting activities of the company. This role involves handling records, tracking income and expenses, supporting project finances, and ensuring proper financial reporting. You'll work closely with management to keep our finances accurate, organized, and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and track all financial transactions accurately
- Prepare invoices, receipts, and payment records
- Manage expenses and ensure proper documentation
- Support budgeting and cost tracking for projects
- Reconcile bank statements and cash records
- Monitor payments from clients and follow up when necessary
- Handle supplier payments and maintain vendor records
- Prepare basic financial reports for management
- Ensure compliance with internal financial processes
Requirements
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Practical experience in accounting or finance roles
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Ability to use accounting software and spreadsheets
- Attention to detail and good record-keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Integrity and confidentiality in handling financial information
- Experience in an engineering or project-based company is an advantage
