Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team. The Farm Mechanic will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining tractors, harvesters, water pumps, and other farm machinery. The ideal candidate should have strong technical and mechanical skills, the ability to diagnose faults, and perform preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspection, servicing, and maintenance of tractors, implements, and farm equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in machinery
• Repair or replace defective parts and ensure all equipment is in good working condition
• Keep accurate maintenance records and service logs
• Advise management on equipment condition and recommend parts for replacement
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment
• Assist with equipment setup and calibration before field operations
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance work comply with safety standards
• Support tractor operators with troubleshooting and minor repairs on-site

Requirements

• Minimum of First Leaving Certificate/OND or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Mechanization, or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a mechanic (preferably in farm or heavy-duty equipment maintenance)
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and repair equipment efficiently
• Good communication and record-keeping skills
• Physically fit and able to work in a farm environment
• Must be reliable, responsible, and safety-conscious
