Factory Accountant / Senior Financial Analyst at Ascentech Services Limited

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Factory Accountant / Senior Financial Analyst to join our food processing plant team in Calabar. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in FMCG manufacturing, cost accounting, and distributor management. This role requires strong financial acumen to support efficient factory operations, optimize costs, and ensure financial compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the factory
• Monitor and optimize inventory levels to ensure efficient production and minimize waste
• Oversee factory funds management including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow
• Establish and maintain robust financial controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Identify and mitigate financial risks by implementing effective risk management strategies
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards
• Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to management
• Perform product costing and monitor profitability to support business objectives
• Control operating expenses, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising quality
• Collaborate with distributors to optimize sales and revenue growth
• Prepare and submit detailed financial reports, including periodic updates on factory performance
• Lead budget preparation and ongoing financial planning activities

Requirements

• Extensive experience in FMCG manufacturing and distributor management
• Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Proven skills in inventory management and cost control
• Hands-on experience with fund management and financial reporting
• Deep understanding of financial controls, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
