A reputable organization seeks a dedicated English tutor to provide personalized instruction to a 17-year-old student who is developing their English language skills. Lessons will be conducted in-person in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized English language instruction tailored to the student's learning needs and goals
• Focus on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, with emphasis on building vocabulary and grammar
• Utilize engaging and interactive teaching methods to make learning enjoyable and effective
• Assess the student's progress regularly and adjust lesson plans accordingly
• Provide insights into Western culture and communication styles to help the student adapt and feel more comfortable in English-speaking environments
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to boost the student's confidence in using English
• Encourage the student to set and achieve personal language goals

Required Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Education (minimum)
• 3 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience
• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Patience, empathy, and genuine interest in helping students succeed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience tutoring ESL (English as a Second Language) students
• Age: 25-35 years old
