About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as an English Teacher.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school's curriculum
• Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to parents and the school
• Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
• Prepare teaching materials, lesson plans, and assessments
• Maintain accurate student records and reports
• Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to improve teaching strategies
• Participate in school programs, trainings, meetings, and events
• Uphold the school's values, policies, and standards at all times

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.Ed., NCE, or equivalent in Education or related field
• Minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience in a reputable school
• A valid teaching license/certification (added advantage)

• Strong classroom management and organizational abilities
• Ability to use modern teaching aids and digital tools
• Passion for education and child development
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing disposition
• Ability to work well independently and in a team

Additional Requirements

• Must be passionate about working with children
• Must reside within Surulere
• Must be available for interview and trial teaching session
• References required from previous employers
