Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons aligned with the curriculum
• Prepare teaching materials and resources to enhance learning outcomes
• Monitor, assess, and report on students' academic and behavioural progress
• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture conducive to learning
• Identify and support students with different learning needs or challenges
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behaviour
• Enforce school policies, values, and behavioural expectations consistently
• Promote the development of 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and communication
• Incorporate technology and innovative methods into teaching practices
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments or examinations
• Participate in departmental meetings, training, and continuous professional development
• Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and parent-teacher meetings

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in English, Literature, or a related field
• Teaching qualification and certification (e.g., PGDE, TRCN)
• IGCSE qualification or demonstrated experience preparing students for IGCSE examinations
• Must reside within commutable distance of Agbara, Lagos
