A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual to lead marine engineering operations and champion the development of technical expertise across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, build, and apply competency in marine supervision while championing the development of national talent
• Identify and assist in resolving marine advisor resource gaps within the function
• Steward the development of core competencies in the marine discipline
• Administer personnel resources in the marine discipline and oversee vessel safety compliance
• Provide expert marine consultation to function and project teams
• Provide technical leadership for vulnerability and risk assessments, coordinating interfaces with relevant marine departments and organizations
• Ensure accurate and timely communication among the team and other company functions regarding discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues
• Provide marine input to concept selection and contract strategy
• Supervise and coordinate marine resources across projects
• Support construction superintendents and discipline leads in on-vessel management activities
• Participate in risk assessments and pre-mobilization reviews
• Develop and maintain marine vessel procedures, processes, systems, tools, and specifications across all relevant organizations
• Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products
• Coordinate and communicate discipline-related issues among internal and contractor engineering teams affecting design, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Evaluate contractor and sub-contractor work to ensure execution in accordance with company specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Review discipline design drawings and documents
• Identify and assess development opportunities within the marine discipline
