About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Electrical Technician to join our team. This position involves installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems while ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, and fixtures in accordance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs accurately
• Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify defects, faults, or malfunctions
• Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and tools
• Troubleshoot electrical problems such as power outages, short circuits, and voltage fluctuations, and implement corrective actions
• Install and configure electrical systems and equipment, including lighting fixtures, switches, outlets, circuit breakers, and electrical panels, following manufacturer specifications
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting electrical components to prevent breakdowns
• Test electrical systems and components for proper operation, voltage, current, and resistance using multimeters and voltage testers
• Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, and project managers to coordinate electrical work and ensure integration with building systems
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, codes, and standards, including National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes
• Install and maintain grounding systems, surge protectors, and electrical safety devices to protect against electrical hazards and fires
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to apprentices, helpers, and junior electricians
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed
