Electrical Graduate Engineer Trainee

The Electrical Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) will undergo structured training and practical exposure in electrical engineering operations, maintenance, and project support within an industrial/mining environment. The role is designed to develop technical competence in electrical systems, safety compliance, and plant reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation, inspection, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment
• Support troubleshooting of electrical faults in motors, switchgear, control panels, and power distribution systems
• Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure plant uptime
• Work with senior engineers on installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical equipment
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and company policies
• Support documentation of maintenance records, reports, and technical drawings
• Assist in monitoring energy consumption and recommending efficiency improvements
• Attend training programs to build competency in industrial electrical engineering practices

Required Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Recent graduate or 0–3 years of experience
• Preferably a First Class Graduate
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and industrial controls
• Familiarity with motors, transformers, PLC basics, and switchgear (an advantage)
• Strong willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced industrial environment
