Position Overview
A reputable construction company is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to support electrical design, installation, testing, and project execution activities on construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and documentation activities in line with project specifications and safety standards
- Support the installation of electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, distribution boards, and motor control centres
- Assist in power distribution system design tasks such as electrical layout, single line diagrams, wiring schedules, and load calculations
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Assist with testing activities, record test results, and support analysis of electrical system performance
- Participate in inspection of completed electrical works to ensure compliance with design and operational standards
- Identify basic faults and escalate technical issues where necessary
- Ensure adherence to site safety rules and company procedures at all times
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a recognised university
- 1 – 3 years' post-NYSC experience
- Basic knowledge of electrical installation and power distribution systems
- Familiarity with AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is an advantage)
- Membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) or progress toward professional certification is an added advantage
