## Title: Early Years Educator (Nursery Ages 3–5)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and committed Nursery Teacher to join our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team. We welcome applications from qualified Early Years Educators with a strong passion for early childhood development and understanding of the British Early Years Curriculum.

Successful candidates will be responsible for supporting and extending the learning of children aged 3 to 5 years through high-quality teaching, play-based learning, and nurturing care.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:

  • Must reside in Ibadan, within reasonable commuting distance of Jericho, Ibadan
  • Minimum academic qualification of B.Ed., B.A., B.Sc., HND, or PGDE in Early Childhood Education, English, or a closely related field from a recognised institution
  • Additional Diploma or Certificate in Montessori Education required
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience in a similar role, with demonstrable understanding of the British Early Years Curriculum
  • Ability to teach phonics, or willingness to be trained in phonics instruction
  • Competence in teaching early mathematics and literacy, with clear understanding of developmentally appropriate teaching strategies
  • Experience in supporting handwriting development in young learners

Essential Skills and Competencies

  • Creative teaching skills such as music, dance, drama, and arts and crafts
  • Excellent English language skills – written, spoken, and reading
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, internet browsing) to support teaching and learning
  • Strong classroom management and effective teaching skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate young learners through play-based learning, promoting emotional, social, and educational development
  • Enthusiastic and innovative approach to teaching
