Director of Finance and Administration at Global Peace Development

Job Summary

Global Peace Development is seeking a Director of Finance and Administration to provide strategic financial leadership and ensure the effective management of financial resources, compliance with donor regulations, and operational efficiency. The role involves overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, procurement, human resources, and administrative functions to support the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management and Compliance

• Develop and implement financial policies, controls, and procedures in line with donor and regulatory requirements
• Prepare and oversee annual budgets, financial reports, payroll, and cash flow management
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to donors and the Board of Trustees
• Conduct financial risk assessments and audits to ensure transparency and accountability

Administration & Operations

• Oversee procurement, asset management, and logistics to support program implementation
• Ensure compliance with tax regulatory bodies across GPD operating states
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and regulatory agencies

Human Resource Management

• Lead the development and implementation of HR policies, recruitment, onboarding, staff development, and performance management
• Ensure proper payroll computation
• Manage staff welfare and benefits

Partnership & Donor Relations

• Ensure compliance with grant agreements and donor financial reporting requirements
• Support fundraising efforts through financial planning and budgeting for proposals

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in financial management, administration, and HR within an NGO or donor-funded organization
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA
• Experience with accounting software
