About the Role

As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting data-driven decisions by collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting data for the business and its clients. Your work will involve turning complex data into clear, actionable insights, identifying patterns and trends, and providing reports that support strategic planning and improve overall performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data strategies (databases, data collection systems, data analytics, etc.) that provide statistical efficiency
• Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain database systems
• Identify and interpret trends in complex data sets and communicate findings in non-technical terms
• Manage user access and user roles
• Process confidential data and information according to guidelines
• Commission and decommission data sets
• Manage and design data report systems to suit the company's standards
• Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Create analytical reports based on project scope
• Monitor and analyze industry trends
• Train end-users on new reports and dashboards
• Identify new process improvement opportunities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Information Management, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years proven work experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
• Knowledge of reporting packages such as Business Objects
• Proficiency with databases (SQL, Oracle, Python, etc.)
• Programming experience (XML, JavaScript, R programming, ETL frameworks)
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, and similar tools)
