Cutting Operator at Fave Consulting

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our production team. The Cutting Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining cutting machines to convert printed or laminated rolls into finished sizes according to customer specifications. This role requires attention to detail, technical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cutting/slitting machines according to job specifications
• Adjust blade settings, tension, and speed to achieve accurate cuts and minimize waste
• Inspect raw materials and finished products for defects, alignment, and size accuracy
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issues to avoid downtime
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the cutting area and equipment
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations when operating machines
• Coordinate with QA team to ensure product quality meets required standards

Requirements

• OND/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer Technology, or related field
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience operating cutting machines or in a production environment
• Basic knowledge of cutting machine operation and maintenance
• Knowledge of quality control principles and practices
• Attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively

Compensation

Monthly salary: ₦100,000 – ₦130,000
