Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a retail environment and will be responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience by providing prompt assistance, resolving issues, and maintaining excellent service standards.
The role requires strong communication skills, patience, and professionalism in handling customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and ensure they feel welcome
- Attend to customer inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally
- Provide accurate information on products, prices, and promotions
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policy
- Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions
- Communicate effectively with other departments (sales, cashier, store operations) to resolve issues
- Ensure the customer service area is tidy, organized, and presentable at all times
- Assist in upselling or cross-selling products when necessary
- Monitor customer satisfaction and provide feedback to management
- Support store operations as needed during peak hours
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum OND/HND/B.Sc degree in any related field
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience in a retail or supermarket customer service role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and POS systems
- Friendly, patient, and approachable personality
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Must reside within or around Lekki/Victoria Island
