About the Role

An established company is seeking a Credit Recovery Officer - Legal Practitioner to manage all interactions with law enforcement during the loan recovery process, particularly in cases involving proven fraud or other criminal activities. This position requires direct engagement with law enforcement agencies nationwide to recover delinquent loans, mitigate financial risks, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive detailed course of action on debt recovery and collect bad debt, including written-off loans and loans overdue, while exploring practical techniques and strategies in compliance with standard legal practices
• Establish and operationalize optimal strategies for managing fraud incidents and facilitate collaborative efforts with law enforcement
• Maintain accurate records of all enforcement-related loan recovery actions and provide periodic reports to management
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the General Counsel

Required Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in a legal role, fraud management, law enforcement, or any position involving regular interactions with law enforcement
• Previous experience in a Microfinance bank or Finance Company with knowledge of debt recovery
• High ethical standards and integrity in handling sensitive financial and legal matters
