## Title: Credit Administration Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Credit Administration Officer to support our growing credit operations. The ideal candidate will ensure proper documentation, effective monitoring of mortgage facilities, and full compliance with regulatory and internal credit policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end credit documentation for all approved mortgage and loan facilities
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of all documents before disbursement, including property documents, valuations, credit bureau reports, and insurance
  • Ensure timely perfection of mortgage documentation and security creation (legal mortgages, equitable mortgages, etc.)
  • Maintain an updated credit file system for all customers in both physical and electronic formats
  • Monitor credit facilities to ensure compliance with approval terms, repayment schedules, and collateral requirements
  • Track expiries (property insurance, valuations, offer letters, legal documents) and coordinate timely renewals
  • Prepare regular credit portfolio reports, exposure summaries, and performance updates for management
  • Work closely with Credit, Legal, Risk, and Operations units to ensure seamless credit processing
  • Ensure adherence to mortgage banking regulatory guidelines (e.g., CBN, NDIC, and Mortgage Board)
  • Assist in loan recovery follow-up and resolution of documentation gaps

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5–10 years of credit administration or credit operations experience, preferably in a mortgage bank or commercial banking environment
  • Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, property perfection processes, and collateral management
  • Familiarity with CBN credit guidelines, IFRS reporting expectations, and mortgage-specific regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and documentation management abilities
