Contracts Engineer /Buyer at International Energy Services Limited (IESL)

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated professional to manage contracts for works, goods, and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for pre-award preparation, negotiation, award, and monitoring of contract administration while ensuring the company's best commercial interests are served and protected.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and control all process-based activities relating to offshore service contracts in assigned portfolio, including strategies, pre-qualifications, tender list development, issuance of Invitations to Tender (ITT), tender analysis, contract negotiations, and preparation of contractual documentation
• Proactively work with technical partners to build and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers, monitoring their performance through contract performance management activities
• Liaise with the Global Category Manager to locally deploy procurement strategy and ensure compliance with governance requirements
• Actively pursue contracting synergy opportunities for all business requirements
• Contribute to cost savings initiatives through delivery of cost reductions without compromising safety or quality
• Provide proactive and timely advice and support to internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to contracts and procurement
• Promote effective contract planning, management, and performance through close collaboration with technical counterparts
• Utilize approved standard contract documentation and ensure compliance with standard contracting principles during negotiations
• Ensure contractor and supplier selection is carried out in accordance with company requirements, compliance programs, and that safety and environmental assessments are part of the selection process
• Mitigate project risk through proactive management and negotiation
• Comply with all applicable supply chain rules, governance, and processes
• Monitor relevant markets and support contractor performance management
