Consultant Family Physician at Reddington Hospital

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Family Physician to provide expert medical care and general medical treatment to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will diagnose, treat, and manage various general medicine conditions while offering compassionate and evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical services for family members across all age groups and demographics
• Review patient charts and maintain accurate records for allergies, medical problems, medications, and immunization status
• Solicit and document information related to patient medical history
• Examine patients for symptoms and physical information before prescribing medication
• Order and execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic imaging to assess patient condition
• Study and analyze test reports and examination findings to diagnose patient conditions
• Diagnose and prescribe appropriate medical treatments
• Determine and provide medications, dosages, and schedules based on patient condition and allergies
• Inform patients about possible side effects of medications or immunizations
• Advise patients regarding diet, hygiene, and disease prevention methods to promote good health
• Refer patients to medical specialists for consultant services when necessary for optimal treatment
• Record patient visits, medical history, physical examinations, diagnoses, and action plans
• Ensure follow-up with patients regarding progress, particularly in high-risk or emergency cases
• Proactively address issues that may impair access to medical care
• Monitor advances in medical care and implement changes as needed to ensure services remain current
• Cooperate with hospital management to establish departmental policies and procedures
