About Action Against Hunger

Action Against Hunger is a global development and humanitarian organization that takes decisive action against the causes and effects of hunger. Operating in Nigeria since 2010, the organization is leading the fight against hunger in Northern Nigeria through an integrated, holistic, multi-sectoral approach.

Organization's Work

The organization works to prevent and treat severe malnutrition and achieve nutrition security by implementing:

• Health and Nutrition interventions
• Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)
• Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL)
• Mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS)
• Social protection interventions

These programs operate across Yobe, Borno, and Sokoto states, addressing the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Northern Nigeria. Conflict-affected households have experienced significant socio-economic and human losses and require support to improve their nutrition, WASH access, food security, mental health, and protection situations.

Geographical Scope: Machina and Nguru Local Government Areas (LGAs), Yobe State

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Evaluation Objectives

The primary objective of this evaluation is to assess the overall achievements of the project in line with the agreed overall results and objectives. The evaluation will assess effectiveness, relevance, efficiency, coherence, outcomes, likelihood of sustainability, and impact of the intervention in the implementing locations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Significant experience (5-8 years) in relevant field
