Construction Engineer - Colossus Investment Limited, Lagos

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Colossus Investment Limited in Lagos as a Construction Engineer. You will oversee and manage building and infrastructure projects, ensuring that architectural and structural designs are executed accurately, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

This role requires strong coordination with architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders, supervision of site activities, management of project schedules and budgets, and delivery of projects on time and within specifications. You will act as the technical authority on construction activities, ensuring that quality and compliance standards are met across all project stages.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Design Coordination

• Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and design documentation
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and consultants to ensure practical and feasible execution of building designs
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource allocations
• Coordinate procurement of construction materials in line with project requirements and schedules

Site & Construction Management

• Supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved designs and quality standards
• Monitor construction progress against plans and identify potential delays or deviations
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and site teams to resolve design or construction issues
• Conduct regular site inspections and document progress, quality checks, and variations

Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Act as the primary liaison between architects, contractors, consultants, clients, and internal teams
• Prepare and deliver detailed project progress reports, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, approvals, and site reports
