Concrete Paver Operator at Trucrete Solutions Limited

Job Summary

Trucrete Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced and trained Gomaco Paver Operator to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining Gomaco paving machines used in laying concrete pavements, curbs, gutters, and road surfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control Gomaco paver machines (e.g., GP-2600) for concrete paving and finishing works
• Set up, align, and calibrate the paver according to project drawings, grade requirements, and job specifications
• Monitor paving operations to ensure uniform concrete placement, proper surface finish, and adherence to grade and slope requirements
• Coordinate closely with the batching plant, concrete delivery team, and finishing crews to maintain continuous and efficient paving operations
• Perform pre-operation checks, including machine inspection, lubrication, and verification of controls and sensors
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues promptly to minimize downtime
• Ensure the slipform paver and associated equipment are properly cleaned and maintained after each operation
• Maintain accurate daily reports of paving activities, including production data, material usage, and equipment performance
• Enforce and comply with company safety procedures, quality control standards, and environmental regulations
• Supervise assistants or support masons assigned to the paver team

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience operating Gomaco paver machines in highway road construction or concrete paving projects
• Possession of relevant operator certification or technical training (highly preferred)
• Proven experience operating various Gomaco models
• Ability to interpret project layout drawings and survey levels
• Strong technical knowledge of concrete mix design, vibration, slump control, and surface finishing techniques
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills for routine maintenance
