Compliance Officer at Digitvant Microfinance Bank

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to ensure our organization operates in full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal policies. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding the company's integrity, reputation, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs, policies, and procedures
• Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential gaps
• Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal controls (e.g., CBN, NDIC, AML/CFT, Data Protection)
• Review and update company policies in line with regulatory changes
• Investigate compliance issues and report findings to management
• Conduct employee training sessions on compliance awareness and ethical practices
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and assist with inspections, filings, and documentation
• Maintain detailed records of compliance activities and reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum of 3–7 years' experience in compliance, risk, or audit (preferably in the financial sector)
• Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills
• High ethical standards and attention to detail
• Certification in compliance or risk management (e.g., CCO, CAMS, ICAN, CIBN) is an added advantage
