About the Role
The Foundation for Cancer Care is seeking a Community Engagement Officer to coordinate and implement its community health programs. You will play a vital role in connecting the organization with stakeholders, managing program logistics, and supporting the Foundation's mission to combat cancer through education, screening, and treatment initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the implementation of the Foundation's educational, screening, and treatment programs
- Plan and execute logistics for the Foundation's community programs
- Coordinate activities and programs of the Cancer Support Group
- Interface with stakeholders and vendors to support program implementation
- Contribute to day-to-day project implementation and ensure alignment with project objectives and work-plans
- Maintain inventory of educational and promotional materials
- Provide support to fundraising events and activities
- Work with the Program Manager and fundraising team to develop, draft, and submit funding proposals and concepts
- Schedule meetings, draft minutes, and track action items
- Liaise with staff and contribute to overall organizational effectiveness
- Provide support to team members as needed
- Support special initiatives and other assigned duties as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Social Sciences, Health Education, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in community mobilization, health promotion, and implementation of social impact projects
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Proficiency with data management tools
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Passion for social impact in the health sector
