About the Role
We are seeking a responsible and proactive Church Administrator to manage the daily operations of our church in Lagos. You will supervise staff and church volunteers, manage the church's schedule of events, ensure effective use of church income, and maintain accurate records. The Church Administrator works closely with the community, supports the pastor and other church staff members, and ensures the church is well-run, maintained, and properly staffed.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations, maintain office supplies, and keep accurate records
- Coordinate, plan, and execute church events
- Assist in creating budgets, paying bills, overseeing payrolls, and tracking church income from donations and sales
- Recruit and hire staff and volunteers, and oversee their work and vacation schedules
- Handle church communications and publications, including creating and distributing bulletins and newsletters
- Oversee church facility maintenance and security operations
- Assist with scheduling meetings, purchasing or renting church equipment and facilities, and enforce church policies for facility use
- Build and maintain relationships with the congregation and community
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in business, office management, accounting, or related field
- 2 years of office or administrative experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills and ability to operate office equipment
- Ability to handle stress and problem-solve effectively
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
- Commitment to serving as a moral and upstanding representative of the church
