Chinese Translator - BlueWave New Energy Technology Nigeria Company Limited, Lagos

We are seeking a skilled Chinese Translator to bridge communication between Mandarin Chinese and English. The ideal candidate will accurately translate written and spoken content while preserving meaning, tone, and cultural context. This role supports business operations, meetings, documentation, and cross-departmental communication. Key Responsibilities:

• Translation: Accurately translate written materials including reports, emails, technical manuals, and contracts while maintaining original context and intent.

• Interpretation: Provide real-time simultaneous or consecutive interpretation during meetings, conferences, and phone calls.

• Localization: Adapt content, marketing materials, and product information for the target audience to ensure cultural relevance and clarity.

• Review & Editing: Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and high-quality standards.

• Terminology Management: Research and apply industry-specific terminology (technical, legal, scientific, or business-related) to ensure precision.

• Confidentiality: Handle sensitive business, legal, and personal information with the highest level of discretion.

• Administrative Support: Assist managers with daily tasks.

Key Requirements & Skills

• Language Proficiency: Native or bilingual fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).

• Experience: 1–3 years of professional translation or interpretation experience.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, Chinese Studies, or a related field.
