We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. Position Overview:
  • The Chief Surveyor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all surveying activities on the highway construction project.
  • This includes verification surveys, setting-out, geometric control, and management of survey teams.
  • The role ensures accurate implementation of design data using advanced surveying equipment and software, in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage all project surveying activities from commencement to completion.
  • Develop and implement survey methodologies, control networks, and work plans.
  • Supervise and coordinate survey assistants and field survey teams.
  • Allocate tasks, review outputs, and ensure survey accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct and oversee verification surveys, setting-out, and geometric control for highway works.
  • Establish, maintain, and validate horizontal and vertical control points.
  • Ensure correct alignment, levels, profiles, and cross-sections in line with approved designs.
  • Verify construction works against design geometry and tolerances.
  • Ensure effective use and management of DGPS, Total Stations, and GNSS equipment.
  • Oversee calibration, maintenance, and accuracy checks of all survey instruments.
  • Use AutoCAD Civil 3D for data processing, design interpretation, plotting, and preparation of survey drawings.
  • Implement quality control procedures for all survey outputs.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve survey discrepancies or deviations.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Provide accurate as-built survey data for approvals and handover documentation.
  • Work closely with Resident Engineers, Project Managers, and construction teams to support accurate execution of works.
  • Provide technical guidance on survey-related matters to site personnel.
  • Participate in site meetings, inspections, and audits as required.
  • Prepare and submit survey reports, records, and progress updates.
  • Maintain organized survey documentation, field notes, and digital data.
  • Support measurement verification, progress valuation, and claims where applicable.
  • Ensure all surveying activities comply with site HSE policies and traffic management requirements.
  • Promote safe surveying practices, particularly in active highway work zones.
