We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management:
- Supervise, train, and mentor engineering/maintenance staff.
- Plan and assign daily tasks to technicians and ensure quality of work.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage staffing needs.
- Oversee day-to-day operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of HVAC, boilers, generators, water treatment, elevators, and other critical infrastructure.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure timely repairs to avoid downtime or hazards.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Ensure all engineering operations comply with local regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
- Implement and monitor safety programs, including fire safety and emergency systems.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety drills.
- Prepare and manage the engineering department budget.
- Oversee procurement of equipment, spare parts, and materials.
- Optimize energy usage and operational costs.
- Plan and oversee renovation, upgrade, and expansion projects.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Review technical drawings and specifications.
- Maintain asset registers for machinery and equipment.
- Ensure proper lifecycle management and replacement planning.
- Monitor energy consumption and recommend savings initiatives.
- Implement sustainability programs and efficient resource use.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly engineering reports.
- Maintain compliance records, logs, manuals, and permits.
- Work closely with operations, housekeeping, procurement, and top management.
- Support other departments during events, emergencies, or special projects
