Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and results-driven professional to lead our Business Development team. As the Chief Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue through innovative financial solutions that align with our corporate vision.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow the company's client base and revenue streams
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with key stakeholders, investors, and corporate clients
• Lead market research and competitive analysis to inform new product development and market entry strategies
• Oversee the promotion and sales of loan and investment products, ensuring alignment with the organization's focus
• Collaborate with the executive team to define medium to long-term organizational goals and business expansion opportunities
• Lead and manage the business development team, setting clear objectives, KPIs, and performance expectations
• Represent the company at industry events, forums, and networking functions
• Develop proposals, presentations, and financial models to support new initiatives
• Maintain strong knowledge of financial trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes impacting the industry
• Ensure all business development activities are aligned with compliance, risk, and operational standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or related field (MBA is an added advantage)
• Minimum of 13 years of progressive experience in business development or sales within the financial services sector (Compulsory)
• Proven track record of driving growth and developing high-impact strategies
• Strong understanding of loan and investment products, financial advisory services, and client relationship management
