About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to join our culinary team at La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort in Ondo State. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, and dedicated to delivering high-quality meals while ensuring smooth kitchen operations. We welcome candidates with strong culinary skills and hands-on experience in food preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all kitchen operations, meal planning, and food preparation
- Create and update menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet high standards
- Implement proper portion control and maintain consistency across all dishes
- Supervise kitchen staff and assign daily tasks to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety throughout the kitchen
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation effectively
- Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations and internal kitchen policies
- Manage food costs and minimize waste
- Coordinate meal service during peak hours to ensure timely delivery
- Perform additional culinary duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Culinary Arts or related field (preferred but not mandatory)
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a reputable restaurant, hotel, or resort
- Strong knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment
- Excellent leadership, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage high-volume cooking
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- High level of personal hygiene and professionalism
- Must be a resident of Ondo City and its environs
