Chaplain at Bowen University

Job Summary

The University Chaplain is one of the Principal Officers of the University and shall be responsible for the administration of the University's overall spiritual welfare.

The Chaplain shall coordinate all Chaplains, Reformation Chaplaincy, Campus and College Chaplaincy, Denominational Relationship Office, Student Volunteer Ministry, and all Denomination Insignias in the University.

Requirements

• Minimum Master's Degree in Theology or equivalent from a Theological Institution or University recognized by the Nigerian Baptist Convention
• Not less than 10 years post-qualification experience in Pastoral Ministry
• Digital competency and up-to-date knowledge of Information and Communication Technology
• Knowledge of Chaplaincy Operations automation
• Evidence of working with Baptist Students' Fellowship, Baptist Youth Fellowship, MMU/WMU, and involvement with Baptist work in the University system or in the areas of Missions, Evangelism, Discipleship, or Mentoring
• Between 40 and 50 years of age as of the time of assumption of duty

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching experience at the Tertiary Institution level or equivalent
• Higher degree from a recognized University or Baptist Theological Seminary
