Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Laboratory Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing quality healthcare, particularly to vulnerable populations including children, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory practice and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory investigations including hematology, microbiology, biochemistry, and other diagnostic tests within Primary Health Care Facilities (PHCs) across the FCT
• Collect, label, and process biological specimens accurately, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to laboratory protocols
• Support mobile immunization efforts by participating in house-to-house outreach and administering vaccines in alignment with national health campaigns
• Monitor and maintain cold chain systems to preserve vaccine potency during transportation and field operations
• Uphold strict Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) standards to ensure safety and minimize risk of contamination or disease transmission
• Collaborate with PHC personnel, local health authorities, and community stakeholders to enhance immunization coverage and laboratory service delivery
• Engage in public health education and community mobilization activities to promote vaccine awareness and uptake

Required Qualifications
