Cashier / Inventory Officer at Salpha Energy Limited

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and customer-focused Cashier/Inventory Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle customer purchasing and payments while maintaining excellent customer relationships and ensuring smooth checkout operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process and receive customer payments in various forms (cash, cheques, debit cards, gift vouchers)
• Issue receipts and ensure all prices and quantities are accurate
• Balance cash registers and generate reports for credit and debit sales
• Deposit cash received to the bank
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
• Maintain accurate records of inventory sent to the station
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of checkout stations and equipment
• Scan and cross-check all items presented for purchase to ensure they are in good condition
• Demonstrate proper product knowledge and pricing for all company offerings
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and courteously
• Contribute to achieving branch budgeted sales and profit targets
• Ensure products are properly handled to customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Computer proficiency and excellent knowledge of Google Suites
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
