About the Role
The Cashier/Account Assistant is responsible for efficiently and accurately processing customer transactions, managing cash registers, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves handling payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining financial records while ensuring compliance with safety and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash, credit, POS, and direct transfer transactions with customers
- Issue cash receipts to customers
- Record sales on register and spreadsheet
- Reconcile stock opening and closing balance with sales attendants
- Deposit cash sales to bank
- Reconcile sales to cash banked
- Send daily reports of sales and cash
- Post daily sales transactions to the company's ERP system
Qualifications
- Minimum Secondary School Certificate
- Relevant experience in a similar role
Experience Required
- At least 6 months' experience in a similar cashier or accounting assistant role
