Cashier - Makinzil Pharmacy and Stores, Lagos

We are seeking a trustworthy, detail-oriented, reliable and customer-friendly Female Cashier to manage daily sales transactions efficiently and courteously. The cashier will be responsible for scanning items, handling cash, POS transactions, receiving payments, issuing receipts, and ensuring accurate records of all financial transactions while delivering excellent customer service in line with Makinzil Pharmacy and Stores policies. Key Responsibilities:

• Scan and process purchased items using the POS system

• Receive payments via cash, POS, bank transfer, or other approved methods

• Issue receipts and properly package customer items when required

• Balance the cash register at the end of each shift and report discrepancies

• Handle refunds, voids, and price checks according to store policy

• Attend to customers politely and assist with basic product or price inquiries

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the checkout area

• Monitor items at the checkout point to prevent loss or theft

• Follow all supermarket operational and financial procedures

• Work closely with supervisors and other store staff

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of OND

• Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role is an advantage

• Ability to operate POS machines and barcode scanners

• Basic arithmetic and record-keeping skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Honest, trustworthy, and detail-oriented

• Ability to work under pressure, especially during peak shopping hours

• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
