About the Role

We are seeking dynamic, self-motivated, and driven caregivers to join our team and provide specialized care tailored to the health needs of our patients. As a Care Assistant, you will provide daily care, comfort, safety, and support to help patients achieve their health goals.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care Support

• Assist patients with personal care including bed bathing and bathroom assistance
• Support patients during meal times and feeding
• Change soiled diapers, incontinence pads, slide sheets, and bed linen as needed
• Assist patients with using the toilet and maintaining hygiene
• Transfer patients safely using slide sheets and hoists to facilitate mobility

Patient Comfort and Engagement

• Create a positive, home-like environment by responding promptly to patient needs
• Identify patient interests and engage them in meaningful activities such as games, television, music, storytelling, and other recreational activities
• Help patients develop trust through respectful and compassionate care
• Respect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times
• Offer emotional support and show empathy when communicating with patients and families
• Communicate effectively and practice active listening

Patient Safety

• Follow all infection prevention and control practices
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks and gloves appropriately
• Maintain proper hand hygiene by washing hands with soap and running water, particularly when exposed to patient body fluids
• Escalate any information that could cause harm to patients, colleagues, or family members to appropriate supervisors
