About the Role

We are seeking dynamic, self-motivated, and driven caregivers to join our team and provide specialized care tailored to the health needs of our patients. As a Care Assistant, you will provide daily care, comfort, safety, and support to help patients achieve their health and wellness goals.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care Support:

• Assist patients with personal care, including bed bathing and bathroom assistance
• Support patients during meal times and feeding
• Change soiled diapers, incontinence pads, slide sheets, and bed linen
• Assist patients with using toilet facilities
• Transfer patients safely using slide sheets and hoists to facilitate mobility and movement

Patient Engagement and Communication:

• Identify patients' interests and hobbies
• Engage patients in meaningful activities such as games, music, storytelling, and entertainment
• Communicate effectively and actively listen to patient needs

Patient Comfort:

• Create a positive, home-like environment that responds promptly to patient needs
• Respect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality
• Help patients develop trust and confidence in their care
• Provide emotional support to patients and their families
• Show empathy and use appropriate communication suited to each patient's condition

Patient Safety:

• Follow infection prevention and control practices
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment including face masks and gloves when necessary
• Maintain proper hand hygiene by washing hands with soap under running water, especially when visibly soiled with patient body fluids
• Escalate confidential information that could cause harm to patients, colleagues, family members, or lead to adverse events
