Business Development/Operations Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and business-savvy Projects and Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end operations of our fish business. This role requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, supply chain expertise, and a hands-on approach to managing both importation and local procurement processes through to sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the fish business, including importation, local purchases, storage, distribution, and sales
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize profitability and market share
• Manage supplier relationships (both local and international) to ensure quality and cost-efficiency
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and regulatory standards
• Lead and supervise sales, procurement, logistics, and operations teams
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform business decisions
• Monitor inventory levels and cold chain management systems
• Prepare regular financial and operational reports for management

Requirements

• Minimum 7–10 years of proven experience in a managerial role within the seafood or perishable goods industry
• Strong knowledge of fish importation processes, regulatory requirements, and local sourcing
• Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills
• Sound business judgment and decision-making capabilities
• Proficiency in inventory management, logistics, and operational strategy
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA or professional certification is an added advantage)

Compensation

1 million Naira net (minimum) – Open to negotiation
