## Title: Business Development Officer

About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual to drive business development and lead revenue growth initiatives across the bank's operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the Bank's goals
  • Identify new market opportunities, products, and partnerships
  • Drive deposit mobilization and loan portfolio growth across branches and channels
  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs
  • Set sales targets and KPIs for Relationship Officers and Marketing staff
  • Lead, coach, and supervise business development and marketing teams
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns and promotional activities
  • Ensure effective cross-selling of the Bank's products and services
  • Oversee loan sourcing and ensure quality loan origination
  • Review and recommend loan proposals in line with the Bank's credit policy
  • Monitor portfolio performance, including PAR and NPL ratios
  • Support recovery efforts on delinquent accounts
  • Manage key accounts and high-value relationships
  • Build strategic relationships with individuals, SMEs, associations, and cooperatives
  • Ensure excellent customer experience and retention

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure all business development activities comply with CBN regulations and internal policies
  • Promote strong KYC, AML/CFT, and customer due diligence practices
  • Identify and mitigate business and credit risks
