## Title: Business Development Officer
About the Role
A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual to drive business development and lead revenue growth initiatives across the bank's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the Bank's goals
- Identify new market opportunities, products, and partnerships
- Drive deposit mobilization and loan portfolio growth across branches and channels
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs
- Set sales targets and KPIs for Relationship Officers and Marketing staff
- Lead, coach, and supervise business development and marketing teams
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns and promotional activities
- Ensure effective cross-selling of the Bank's products and services
- Oversee loan sourcing and ensure quality loan origination
- Review and recommend loan proposals in line with the Bank's credit policy
- Monitor portfolio performance, including PAR and NPL ratios
- Support recovery efforts on delinquent accounts
- Manage key accounts and high-value relationships
- Build strategic relationships with individuals, SMEs, associations, and cooperatives
- Ensure excellent customer experience and retention
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure all business development activities comply with CBN regulations and internal policies
- Promote strong KYC, AML/CFT, and customer due diligence practices
- Identify and mitigate business and credit risks
