## Title: Business Development Officer

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Business Development Officer.

Key Responsibilities

Market Development and Client Acquisition

  • Identify and research potential clients, partners, and new market opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain clients in both private and public sectors
  • Generate qualified leads and follow up to conversion through consultative selling
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and negotiations with prospective clients
  • Prepare tailored business proposals, quotations, and tender documents

Client Relationship and Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Provide after-sales support and ensure client satisfaction and loyalty
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and sales documentation

Strategic Planning and Market Intelligence

  • Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities
  • Provide feedback to management on market conditions, pricing strategies, and product performance
  • Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to plan promotions, exhibitions, and marketing campaigns
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and build networks

Sales Performance and Reporting

  • Meet and exceed assigned sales and revenue targets
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development initiatives
  • Provide accurate forecasts and contribute to planning and budgeting processes

Negotiation and Contract Management

  • Negotiate terms and close sales that align with company objectives and profitability goals
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical business practices in all transactions
  • Follow up on payments and ensure timely receipt of invoices
