About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional ready to drive significant growth in the health insurance sector. This role is designed for proven professionals with hands-on experience in HMO/health insurance business development who can deliver measurable results from day one.
The Position
As Business Development Manager, you will take ownership of growth across Northern Nigeria, driving sales targets, winning new accounts, and strengthening client relationships. You will be the face of the organization to corporate clients, hospitals, clinics, and key partners — ensuring trust, credibility, and consistent value delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute winning strategies to secure new business across corporate, institutional, and individual segments
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with hospitals, clinics, and corporate organizations to expand service reach
- Consistently achieve sales and revenue targets by closing high-value deals
- Collaborate with internal teams to design health plans that meet client needs while driving profitability
- Provide accurate pipeline forecasts, market insights, and performance reports to management
Success Metrics (KPIs)
- Acquisition of new individual and corporate clients
- Sustainable revenue growth from new and existing accounts
- High-quality, long-term partnerships with key stakeholders
- Strong client retention and satisfaction rates
- Consistent achievement or surpassing of monthly and quarterly targets
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or related field (Master's degree is an added advantage)
- 5–7 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing within an HMO or health insurance organization
- Deep understanding of the Nigerian healthcare landscape
