The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly strategic and technically proficient Business Development Manager to drive our growth across the Nigerian Oil & Gas services sector. This pivotal role requires a professional who can seamlessly integrate commercial strategy with deep technical understanding to secure and deliver complex, high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities
The BDM will own the full commercial lifecycle, from strategy to final delivery and technical direction.
I. Strategy & Commercial Growth
- Develop and execute the overall business development strategy for the company's comprehensive services portfolio.
- Analyze market trends and conduct business opportunity analysis to identify new growth vectors
- Spearhead new market penetration efforts and identify novel revenue streams within the IOC and NOC client base in Nigeria.
- Manage and cultivate strong relationships with existing and potential clients (IOCs like SNEPCo, TotalEnergies, etc.).
- Lead, manage, and provide direction for technical and engineering work required to scope client projects.
- Translate customer enquiries into costed, workable technical solutions, managing the costing and feasibility review process.
- Source, market, and manage relationships with key OEMs and partners to integrate their technology and services into our client offerings.
- Direct the preparation of high-quality, comprehensive presentations, proposals, and sales tools.
- Review and submit detailed responses to enquiry documentation (RFPs/RFQs) and provide timely answers to subsequent requests for clarification.
- Lead commercial negotiations with clients regarding contract terms, scope changes, and deliverables.
- Oversee contract documentation review in collaboration with the legal team to ensure all technical and commercial terms align with the final agreement and company risk tolerance.
- Assist in the final technical and commercial review of all proposals before submission to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a relevant technical field. A Master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., PMP) is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Business Development, Technical Sales, or Project Management within the Oil & Gas services industry in Nigeria. (Confirmed references)
