Position Overview
Uncle Stan's Foods is expanding and seeking a Business Development Manager to champion growth through the opening of new outlets and optimization of our existing asset base. You will play a pivotal role in scouting and carefully selecting new locations, completing real estate transactions, and driving strategic expansion across our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Scout and select new outlet locations, managing real estate transactions including fee purchases, leases, and acquisitions
- Critically evaluate potential sites based on competition, local government zoning regulations, traffic density, population demographics, and other market factors
- Develop financial projections for merchandise sales, gross profit margins, development costs, and operating expenses to assess site feasibility
- Collaborate across internal functions and external partners including operations, legal counsel, construction, environmental specialists, estate agents, developers, landlords, governmental authorities, and regulatory bodies
- Support all business development initiatives and strategic efforts
- Participate in the business planning process for all outlets, aligning with corporate parameters, marketing activities, and market conditions
- Identify and capture opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness
- Assess and recommend improvements to existing outlets to enhance customer visibility and accessibility
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Degree in Management Sciences or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an operations role within the hospitality industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer literacy
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multifunctional teams
- Strong sense of accountability with a results-driven approach
- High sense of urgency and ability to build and lead strong teams
